In a recent decree, Bishop Stephen Raica, Bishop of the Diocese of Birmingham, transferred the celebration of the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus from Friday, June 12th, to Sunday, June 14th. This has been done to allow all Catholics to benefit from the special graces available with this observance.

As part of this celebration, and in light of the upcoming 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Bishops will consecrate our nation to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus at the June meeting. 

We have a special opportunity to immerse ourselves in this experience fully in many ways.
